The basics of a believer in Christ

This past week has been hot here in Oklahoma. We had 5 days over 100 degrees tempts. It makes me think what will the tempts be like in the next couple months. I've been seeking the Lord this past year for a message, a message that will challenge my Christian walk. I believe the Lord has challenge me to do the basics of Christianity like giving, witnessing and reading my Bible. Have we as believers forgotten on how to do the basics of Christianity? Lets be real! Its easy to lose focus on the basics as a believer in Christ. How long has it been since you opened a Bible. Ouch! Trust me I've been convicted in other areas of my christian walk. Ask the Holy Spirit to show you where you need to focus? He will lead and guide you to be a champion of Christ!I challenge you today Christian get back to the basics of Chrisitanity.

Good Day

Today has been a great fathers day Sunday. I basically slept in this morning and spent time with the family. I love being father its the greatest adventure in the world. He is the best little boy in the world. It's cool being a dad, I can't wait to spend time with him everyday . It makes me think how Jesus wants to spend time with us daily.

Relaxing Day

We had an awesome day relaxing at the pool at the parents house. There is nothing like relaxing in a pool with a cool breeze. Thank you Jesus! How is your weekend? All I know is God is in control of everything of my life.

Starbucks Ministry!

This past year i've been going to Starbucks in Tulsa to reach people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The first thing i notice after a few weeks of observing starbucks is most of the time the same people walk in morning after morning. The second thing i notice is when i read my Bible people seem to stair at me when they go out of the door. I try to sit where they can see my Bible. I usually pray God will open their hearts to the reality of the truth. This past week I had a couple good comments from strangers.I believe when we surrender to the will of God, He will make a way for us to tell people about our faith. My heart is to tell the world that Jesus Christ lives! It's our duty as Christians to spread the good news of Jesus Christ. How are you reaching people in your area? It really not that difficult to witness, just take your Bible to a public place and start declaring the kingdom of God.

Trusting God This Past Year

It will be one year in June since we've been in full time ministry. We are still trusting in God to open the right doors on His time. As I look over this year I have been able to spend time with my family. Also I get to meet different people through my work. I had the opportunity to pray and counsel people. As I thought about this God just took me out of ministry to place me in the ministry called the Marketplace. I love the people in the marketplace of America. I know God is working in my life 24/7. Thank you Lord!

Guard your heart

Proverbs 4:23-watch over your heart with all diligence, for from it flow the springs of life.

This verse was in my devotion time today. Have I been diligent in my walk? Allowing things in my life that may bring my character and integrity down as a Christian. We must guard our hearts in a polluted world.

Get it together!

As of this week I have 7 weeks to go in my Bible reading. I challenged myself to read the Bible from cover to cover every year. This will be 3 years in a row. I talk to people who tell me they don't have time. Listen, I have a full time job, wife and son. I believe it comes down to priorites in life. If you don't have time to read the Bible and pray, you have allowed distractions come into your devotion time with God. It's time to get it together in your walk with the Lord. Don't live a life of religion, live a life of a personal relationship with the Lord. I challenge you today to spend 30 minutes with the Lord in prayer and reading the Bible.
